Kevin Jonas breaks some hearts

Can you hear that high-pitched whining noise burning itself into your eardrums, readers? It’s the sound of a million teenage girls sobbing their hearts out after learning Kevin Jonas is now engaged to his long-term girlfriend Danielle Deleasa.
Kev popped the question after turning up on Dani’s doorstep in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Dropping down on one knee, the Kevster produced a cushion-cut diamond ring he designed with the help of swanky jewellers Jacob and Co, and asked for her hand in marriage.
"Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage," cooed Kev’s parents Denise and Kevin Sr in a statement to People magazine.
"Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family's celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."
The pair hooked up in 2007 after meeting in the Bahamas. At the time, Danielle admits she had never even heard of the poptastic Jonas Brothers.
”She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row,” gushed Kevin, who had played a gig in Vancouver the night before proposing. “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world.”
Of course, the family-friendly Jonas Brothers are well known for wearing rings on their left hands as a commitment to staying “pure” until their wedding nights. It looks like Kevin will be one piece of jewellery lighter in the not too distant future. We’re positive this minor detail had nothing to do with the 21-year-old’s decision to tie the knot. Absolutely sure. Yep.
